You’ve never seen one but you’re itching to try one. You ask your friends for a recommendation, but they seem to have all the time in the world because they recommend not just one, but a TON of dramas and that just confuses you even more. So here I list down dramas, I think Kdrama-virgins should check out first before diving into the sea of ramen, and hot, adorable oppas.
Enter the world of Korean Dramas
If you like.. Contract marriages, and couples who hate each other at the beginning then slowly falls for each other later on. This drama is one of my many favorites, and although I’ve re-watched this over and over again I can’t get enough of it. This aired ten years ago, and is now considered a classic, but this still gets to my heart.
Endless Love/Autumn Tale
If you like.. Heavy dramas, mistaken identities, and characters getting sick and doing stupid decisions, like staying away from the person they love. This is an oldie, but a goodie. I can still remember fighting for the remote when this aired in our country. I cried buckets of tears for this and even got my mom hooked on Kdramas.
If you like.. Gender benders, bromance, and eye candies. Like Princess Hours, this is one of my many favorites that I love to watch over and over again. If you love rom-coms and guys who openly show his affection for his gir, you have to see this one.
Oh My Venus
If you like.. Heroines you’ll admire, cute couples, and hot men who works out. I remember recommending this to my bestfriend last year and after seeing this she can’t stop talking about this. This drama was a roller coaster of emotions, and will leave you wanting to listen to its soundtrack on repeat.
If you like.. Fantasy, romantic guys who does everything for love, and punch lines that would make you really laugh. I had to list these three together because I can’t choose which one. These dramas have their own charm, and leaving the other two would be a shame. I highly recommend these three, and I swear you won’t regret heeding my suggestion.
I would love to list more than I have here but I don’t want to overwhelm you because I know the struggle of choosing what to watch first. There’s still a ton of dramas I haven’t seen, and will see, but for now I’m only sharing these because they are the first ones that come to mind whenever my friends would ask me for recommendations. Enjoy!
